TourTrail

PositionTracker is an Android app that automatically tracks your GPS position during configurable tour periods — built for bike vacations and multi-day trips. Set your tour dates and a day/night time window, and the app records your route as a foreground service, switching between more frequent GPS updates during the day and power-saving intervals at night.

I developed this app after repeatedly forgetting to start tracking in the morning with other tracking apps during my multi-day tours.

  Features:

• Automatic tracking during your configured tour period, no need to remember to start/stop
• Automatic assignment of photos to the corresponding tours and locations
• Day/night interval switching to save battery
• Route displayed on a map with stats (distance, speed, elevation)
• Local storage, no cloud account required
